🔵 We recommend that you level up normally, our servers are 10x XP so you level up very quickly!🔵 If you are not interested in that then you can join our unlock all server connect 178.33.157.21:28950
🠺 How can I prestige on CoD4 PC?
🔵 Sadly CoD4 PC does not have prestige as a feature🔵 However some servers have it on a mod for their server, it will not transfer across to other servers

🔵 As Call of Duty is a quake engine game, it comes with a Lagometer🔵 You can enable it by opening the CoD4 console with ~ key and type /cg_drawLagometer 1

🔵 Open the CoD4 console with ~ key in-game🔵 Type /com_maxfps 250 (change 250 with the max fps you want)
🠺 How do I change my FOV?
🔵 Open the CoD4 console with ~ key in-game🔵 Type /cg_fov 80. You can replace 80 with any number from 65-90 on CoD4x
🔵 There is also a fov scaling command but it is protected and cannot be edited.
🔵 However our servers allow you to change this value with the !fov command
🠺 How do I enable killcams?
🔵 On our servers you can use the !killcam command to enable/disable killcams🔵 If playing on other servers you will have to deal with whatever settings they use

🔵 You can try using a FPS config which incldues commands to improve perfomance🔵 To install it replace the config_mp file in the following file path. Make sure to backup your old config_mp

🔵 Open the CoD4 console with ~ key in-game🔵 Type /record to start recording and /stoprecord to stop

🠺 Where are my demos saved?
🔵 Your demos will be saved in main/demos in your CoD4 folder🔵 If you recorded on a Modded servers, then look in Mods/ModName/demos

You can use the following language pack!🔵 Download the language pack
🔵 Extract the files from the language pack to your CoD4 root folder.

🔵 Pick the language you would like. (English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, Spanish or Chinese)
You can always remove this language pack by running the uninstall.bat file'
🠺 Can I use custom skins?
🔵 Yes, we allow custom skins however you must follow our rules 🔵 Custom weapon skins are allowed except if you deliberately use bright coloured skins for a visual advantage 🔵 Custom skins to see through objects such as smokes, trees and bushes are obviously not allowed 🔵 Custom player skins are not allowed except for the dark marines skin which can be found in here 🔵 It contains the dark marines skins, no blue flash while shooting with fullbright and no deathicons.🠺 How do I install custom skins?
🔵 Open your Cod4 folder and open the folder called "Main" 🔵 Rename iw_00 to localized_english_aa 🔵 Repeat step 1 for iw_01-iw_06 but by adding aab, aac, aad, aae, aaf, aag. (should now look like this) 🔵 Duplicate your localized_english_aag in your "Main" folder so that you have two of them. 🔵 Rename the new one to "localized_english_aw07" 🔵 Open localized_english_aw07 (you will need 7zip or a similar program). 🔵 Create a folder called "images" inside. Then delete everything else in localized_english_aw07 🔵 Inside the images folder place your skin files (must be .iwi format). 🔵 Done!
🠺 I am being kicked / warned for invalid iwd files, what can I do?
🔵 Some other servers may kick you for modified IWD files, for example if you use weapon skins🔵 You will also see a warning when you open the game (if you have skins installed)
🔵 If you are playing on our servers, you can ignore this warning
🔵 For other servers that do not allow skins, either contact the server owner and ask them allow skins or remove your skin files (localized_english_iw07.iwd in /main)
🠺 How do I modify my scoreboard?
🔵 This can be done using a variety of console commands🔵 It is much simpler to generate and preview the scoreboard using a tool such as this one

🔵 Install Cod4 From Steam 🔵 Download the Cod4X manual installer 🔵 Extract it to your Cod4 folder (Put it inside a new folder) 🔵 Install `protontricks` (See https://github.com/Matoking/protontricks, https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/protontricks) 🔵 Change Proton version to 5 for Cod4 🔵 Start the game, make sure it works (You should be able to reach the menu at least) 🔵 Open `protontricks` (Choose Steam install if necessary) 🔵 Select Cod4, some "winetricks" errors may appear. These can be ignored (press OK, close etc.) 🔵 Once winetricks has opened, choose "Select the default wineprefix" 🔵 Select "Run explorer" - the winetricks window will disappear and reappear 🔵 Once the explorer window has opened, navigate to Cod4's install folder 🔵 Run the Cod4x installer (install.cmd) 🔵 If it completes, you can close explorer and protontricks (winetricks) 🔵 Start the game, it may restart itself. Open it again to be sure Cod4x is installed 🔵 Close the game and switch to Proton 9 beta and you join C4S :)
